It was the original Audi 80 in Europe. Very closely related to the equivalent Passat from about 1972. I think the Audi came as a 2 or 4 door notchback saloon or 5 door estate and the Passat was a fastback saloon, hatch or estate
Early Audi 80s had 2 round headlights ( 1300cc ) or 4 round lights ( 1600cc ) . The square lamp cars were a facelift around 1977.

Weren't many to start with. Pre A-series Audis were fairly exclusive cars, quite plain and relatively expensive - bit like a German Volvo - but these ones weren't galvanised so they rotted like all the other 70s stuff does.
