Can anyone recommend a good specialist in Warwickshire/Northamptonshire area to get a Griffith radiator fixed? I have a tiny leak, which I hope can be fixed with a repair or re-core rather than binning the whole thing.

Cheers

Do Radtec do repairs? They're just by Silverstone and do awesome ally radiators for TVRs...

In the past, I have used a guy in atherstone on the carlyon road industrial estate.

He has rebuilt rads for a mgb and a 5 series bmw, he is able to uprate cores etc and was very reasonable.

I cant remember the name of the place, but it is opposite George Sykes wood yard and also has a good place next door to it that rebuilds alternators and starter motors.

IIRC, my local garage did an exchange for a recored rad at quite a reasonable price for me a while back (near Stratford). Let me know if you want me to dig out the details.

My Dad had his Jensen rad re cored to Saudi Arabia spec (not sure what that involves, probably had to take his head off) at Wednesbury Radiator services, 67-69 Stafford street, Wednesbury,

I need to get mine replaced/recored soon. I live in Leicester, but can travel around Nottingham/Coventry etc for the right price/quality.

How much did your job cost?

£100 for the full monty. Repairs start at £15 and I was quoted £35, but went for the top option, as I am selling the car, and the new owner will be off to Le Mans in it... don't want to have it let him down!
