so now that my start woes are over, for now, it's nice to focus on a simple mod.

whilst checking wires etc. I ripped out the old black plastic cable sleeving and thought I'd try and use modern materials to tidy the cables up.

Can anyone recommend this or another product?

Looks a good solution to me if it fits the diameter of the loom.

That's some "posh" stuff you've found at RS!

I've used this.
Little bit of heat shrink tidies the ends up.

and this.

This is a nice simple solution as long as you make sure that any ends of the sleeving don't start cutting into the cables sleeving, tape the wiring before sleeving

There are no alternatives unless you are prepaired to remove large plugs/mouldings so as to be able to cover cables with unsplit sleeving, it is not possible to get one piece unsplit sleeving over large mouldings

The split sleeving will go brittle over time but is easily replaced

The spiral type binding offers very little in the way of heat protection but is very easy to use.
I think the stuff the op linked to splits so can be used on an existing loom, very useful for the parts that run across the engine.

When I pulled the split conduit out last year I replaced it with loom tape
