I'm not sure whether this is a regular occurrence but I am sat in an office next to tower bridge today and all day Police on Motorbikes have been back and forth escorting what I assume is Royals forwards and backwards.

Is there some special event taking place today? I can't imagine they are nipping out to pick up the milk.

there was a rumour they spotted someone paying an unnaturally high amount of interest in one of the office buildings overlooking the bridge when they first went across.

Don't worry though they've just dispatched SO19 to the address and should be taking the suspect 'out' very shortly.

Possibly Cobra committee members and the like being ferried about.

Saw a convoy last year and I swear two of the FFRR's had the same number plates ????

I work on Lower Thames street and when I crossed the road at lunchtime, I had to pause for a few police bikes and three Land Rovers. Think it was a D5 and two Discovery Sports. Its always impressive to see how the bikes stop traffic to keep the cars moving.
