Geo settings 981 BS assistance
Discussion
Car is going in to RPM on Monday for a geo. Is there are known set up that I can ask for that will give a more neutral balance to the car and dial out the initial understeer?
All within the limits of the normal adjustability of course.
David, you must have an opinion on this?
Thanks,
Nat

I would leave the rear as is and just move the front to zero toe in and as much camber as the top mounts will allow. All within the limits of the normal adjustability of course.

Too much rear camber will wear the inners at the back. -2 is a lot imo if the front only goes to -1.3
My GT4 was -2.2 front and -1.8 rear as an example, but the shop wanted to add loads more rear, I had to say no thanks and the car was perfect.
I think most shops want to add a load more rear, and I don't get why, less traction and more inner tyre wear.
I wonder if you should fit the 981 x73 rear ARB , might be worth asking they cost peanuts. (I did that to my 987.2 Spyder from the R)
Or just take RPM's advice they do a lot now with their CSR platform.
TPC spent a lot of time on the 981 S this is their stage 1 kit
"With it's improved chassis balance thanks to our new TPC Racing 981 Sway Bars, and the rear toe and bump steer correction thanks to a set of TPC Racing 981 Adjustable Toe Links, we have really dialed the new 981 chassis in to produce a car that you can drive hard and deep into the corner and come out the other side unscathed, and seemingly with amazing grip spare....all while using stock shocks and springs for superb street ride!"
