I have just replaced the front disks and pads on my C6 3.0TDI, used Delphi as it was a good price for the complete kit front and rear. To all intents and purposes they perform the same as what was on there.

But the 'creep groan' is still there and as I understand it normal with an auto and modern sintered pads. However it also gives a small chirp when the car comes to a standstill and again when releasing the brake to set off. I cannot remember if the old ones did that but now I have noticed it is annoying! I was considering getting some Brembo pads as the local indie uses those over OE which obviously cost a fortune.

Any thoughts? Thanks.

nb. the new pads had the antivibration backing same as what was on there.

Traditionally, a dose of copper grease on the back of the pads and such would solve this sort of thing.

Thanks. I ordered some Ceratec a few days ago mainly to lube the slide pins, but wasnt sure of using it on the rear of the pads as they already have the grippy anti vibration pad fitted.

Last night I did a few aggressive stops and it was certainly better this morning. Hopefully they will quieten down in time.
