Soubry demands that the PM “gets a spine” and wants “hard ideological Brexiters who are not Tories” expelled from the party.

The fallout over this one will be fun to watch. hehe

The Tory party really needs to decide where its position is on Europe and those that can't fall into line need to find a new home.

The broad church argument doesn't stand up when for the last 30 years the topic has caused a huge amount on infighting.

"...Jacob Rees-Mogg and Boris Johnson. They are not proper Conservatives."

They're amongst the few that still are proper Conservatives! The rest of them, under May, are like New New Labour.

So, they took down John Major, someone who was prime minister from till 1997, which is what? 21 years ago.
I think 21 years is long enough to say that they are the Tory party love.

The leavers are in the minority of the Tory parties MP if you go by their preferences at the referendum.

The party needs to decide its direction and deselect those who aren't willing to follow that path.

Watched her ‘performance’ last night on a news broadcast. Anna seemed to be overspilling with anger, looking straight down the camera lens frothing. The PM needs to sling out the 38 members, they are not conservatives, this is her fellow MP’s she is shouting about.
On the point of resigning unless something is done about the 38 MPs.
Downfall of an MP going out in the shadow of humiliation for something dear to her heart but unable to reconcile defeat and compromise. Compare Anna to Jacob Rees-Mogg in the art of politics and it’s very sad really, how the mighty fall! Once a Minister.

She is perhaps the most loony of all Remainers. Her faux outrage is funny to watch, or would be if it didn't look like she was verging on dementia.

And she, the shrillest and most swivel-eyed of remainers, sees absolutely no irony in that.

Anna Soubry might like to re-consider her demand that the PM 'Remove hard Brexiteers' because .......
1) She voted to hold the EU referendum
2) She campaigned for REMAIN, who published a document, sent to every household, that stated that "This is your decision. The Government will implement what you decide"
3) She voted to implement Article 50 in the vote on 8 February 2017
4) She represents a constituency (Broxtowe) that voted LEAVE by the margin of 55% to 45% (source https://www.broxtowe.gov.uk/for-you/elections-voti... )
5) In sniping at BREXIT she is showing contempt for the electorate because both the national vote (52:48) and her Constituency vote (55:45) was LEAVE. As their MP she should have the decency to respect their views.
6) As a parliamentarian I believe she should have an understanding of the single, most important aspect of our democratic system namely that THE LOSING SIDE MUST ACCEPT THE RESULT.

And yet Anna has repeatedly announced that her constituents voted to remain. Clearly they did not!

Soubry is becoming an embarrassing MP.
There to represent the constituents, but instead only representing her own interests.

And??

There was a vote, people voted, and as someone elected to carry out the will of the people they need to get on with what was asked of them.

She asked for this at every level, her constituents asked for this and her refusal to get on with it will be the end of her career in the long term I would imagine.
