Waiting to collect my Cerb.

On the leaks front, what should i expect.
(should i take a bucket with me?)

does it P*ss in or, is it likely to be a trickle.

does it come in around the screen, around the doors, through the scuttle or everywhere.

If it does lek, are there any common solutions.

Should i wear my speedos?

Can also leak into boot. THat fix is to get filler area re gunked and also around the boot hinge mounts gunked!
Can also get water through bulkhead and through door seals. Most cars will have been fixed yrs ago!

I found that smoking with the window down at 45 degrees of opposite lock in a rainstorm resulted in mild dampness.

But I think that was just my trousers.

sorry, Dont smoke.

Looks like hopefully no leaks so i can keep the bucket for more important things>

when i test drove the old girl, i noticed a smell of fibreglass. is this common (i thought it unusual as the car is from 1997 and i wasnt expecting it)

Fibreglass? FIBREGLASS? F I B R E G L A S S?

*goes into apoplectic rage*

*calms down again*

Erm... yes. They're made of it. As the Hammster wittily commented on TopGear a few years ago "smells like a canoe factory!"

Infact, if you can smell the fibre, then chances are you car doesn't leak. Otherwise it's smell of soggy doggy. Or mushrooms. Or Nervous.

and THATS why they call me nervous. its an affliction for the most part, but a great party trick. im up to nine feet of height and 8 feet of distance now. fireman are jealous of me. clap-clinic doctors, less so.

i would take all the champers out of the car dear boy, but i need that much booze to silence the voices in my head whats that mother?

think of it this way: they do leak, but how many interesting people can you name that dont leak? you see, ive gotcha there havent i? tied you up with my legal mumbo-jumbo. gets 'em every time. Just call me Attacus Nervous.
