Jeez what have they done. Must be some new guidance on cooking fries or something as they are now limp and almost undercooked.

I have been to 3 or 4 different ones over the last few months and they are all the same.

Fries should be golden and crisp and fluffy in the middle. Now they are just pale white limp sticks.

I know its a bit "council" but I quite enjoy the fries and used to just order a fries and a shake. frown

They've been like that for as long as I remember. Flaccid fries and overly sweet bread.

Maccy Ds is horrible, IME.

As an ex manager of one of their stores its more often than not the staff leaving the fries hanging over the vats when they come up out of it, they should be allowed to drain for 10 seconds then into the tray to be salted.

Ive just had some from elland rd mcds abd they were lovely and crisp so dont think its a company wide problem.

Ask for fries with no salt.

That way they're freshly fried.

Excellent fries when they are fresh. Even Michael Winner was a fan.

They have definitely done something to them. Last couple of portions i have had in London have been limp and light coloured and tasted undercooked

personaly i quite like having a place i can bob into and getting fast food when im hungry and passing , no complaints from me , a decent double with cheese , crispy fries a decent coffee and sometimes a few chicken nuggets, i do like the breakfast food there too. my local at butt lane bramley is very nice . might just be the odd branch that needs sorting. that said i do prefer burger king if at all possible.

its not st though is it. yes its cheap but isn't st. its chips, what are you expecting from it? should it be done in beef and duck fat, triple cooked with red himalayan rock salt?

Probably not cooked as hot or whatever for fear of people burning themselves and claiming that they weren't told they were hot, when they want 'fresh fries', for example.

Then trying to sue McDonald's.

That would be my excuse anyway.

The public only have themselves to blame.

Are you going to the same McDonald's? Could be a "training issue".

I find the fries now have to be eaten within a couple of minutes othwerwise they just taste wrong which means you cant get a macdonalds to takeaway away anymore.
I only eat mcdonalds when having had a few drinks after work and missed the train, I grab a used Metro and then use the £2 bigmac and fries voucher.
