Work for a small company who have a website (Linux hosting package, wordpress site), email and domain with 'Easily'. They don't reply to tech tickets and I've never had anyone answer the phone (other than that, their customer service is spot on).

Looking to move all this somewhere, but I would need a fair bit of hand-holding as my knowledge of such things is rotten. Always see lots of suggestions for hosting etc, but this really would be hosting for dummies.

I host with Hostgator. They are a large US corp and so not very fashionable but their support over the years has never faultered.

Domain wise; I had hundreds of domains with 123-reg... but they are expensive so have been transferring all the domains to Namecheap.

Most domain places will have hosting packages and vice versa.

Fasthosts are good, fairly reliable and good support.
UK based too.

I have about 30 domains with them.

Loads of decent small hosting companies that offers decent customer service for <£100 per annum. Are you able to migrate a Wordpress site? Any FTP mySQL cPanel experience or do you need someone to spend a couple of hours doing it?

Karma Computing - very definitely worth a look, a great outfit having lots of ability over several closely related sectors, not just hosting:

https://www.karmacomputing.co.uk/page/homepage

Hosting & email? check!
Broadband providers? check!
Geeky/nerd heads? check!
Revolutionary approach to customer respect and response? check!

Not the cheapest, not the most expensive but amongst the best in terms of customer retention - 'we've never lost a client'

Give them a call, they'd love to hear from you (I'm not on the payroll or affiliated in any way).

Well you only have to look at threads like these which always throw up recommendations for decents hosts from PHers

20ii are very good.

TSO went through a bad patch imho but they seem to have improved recently.

20i - Sorry, a typo.

https://www.20i.com/

Looks very commercial, but I've found them to be nothing short of excellent.

Their StackCP control panel looks suspiciously similar to Tsohost/Vidahost cloud control panel!

Used to use TSO...binned it. Siteground 's server performance knocks spots off TSO. It's massively quicker.

I have a domain currently with Reg1 that will expire in about a month.
As they no longer want the business, who is the cheapest 1/2 decent host these days?

(I am simply holding onto my daughters name, and don't need any hosting etc, just an email forward facility)

Thanks in advance smile
