Valentines Day

I know this is PH and we don't get involved in stuff like this, but for those that are...what are people up to for valentines day?

I've taken the day off work and the other half is coming down for the day, going to take her out for lunch somewhere. Nothing over the top as we haven't been together that long!

Got some pressies for her to open during the day.

Off to a place with some memories for us in Winchester for dinner.

Just a box of chocolates.

I do it more to annoy her than anything as she thinks valentines day is a marketing exercise for the gullible

Got a Travelzoo voucher for lunch at the Ritz (on the 16th!). Combined Valentine's / welcome home as o/h just back from three weeks working in Mumbai. Card on the day itself.

Half term, so have a friend taking the boy for the day - unfortunately not overnight or would have stayed over.

I’ll be roughly 170miles from the Mrs working away most of next week so we’re postponing it till I’m back other than maybe a meal this weekend instead as well.

I’ll make sure she gets her 24long stems though as always on the day though

Dust off the cards from when we first gave them to each other eleven years ago, they've been reused every year since.

I agree, but experience has taught me that most of the girls I dated didn't.......

This year it will simply be a card and some chocolates. However - it's the first one with the current g/f, and I suspect she will be expecting far more. So that might make it interesting.

So I've talked her into staying at home all day waiting for the meter man to come and fit our smart meter....yes I know I know....

All you guys who don't see the need to evidence your love on Feb 14th. While I totally agree, I think you'll find that the female of the species actually hopes you'll do something a bit special for them. They may say otherwise but......

Got the builders in that week, so a bit limited on things to do that evening. usually we cook each other a nice meal (take in turns each year) but given the house will be building site might end up eating at a local pub.
