Reminds me of the time my born again biker of a boss put WD-40 on his nice shiny Ducati brake discs to stop them going rusty between rides.

Luckily, someone pointed out that WD-40 isn't something that braking systems like too much, and he took it off with white spirit. However, the pads had soaked it up, and they spotted the cock up next time he took his bike (gently!) to the dealers. Them:'Some idiot's put WD-40 on your brake discs, mate'. Him: 'Yeah, it was my brother... I told him not to do it."
