I was just messing around on the Porsche.com configurator last night.

The GT3 is showing limited availability, but if you could get one, right spec, right colour, at list price, could you run it for a few years and loose nothing ? Maybe even gain ?
Consumables and services items would be need to provided for but apart from that its surely costing money not to have one !

What have I missed please?

You'll have to drive it to loosen in up though.

"The value of your investment can go down as well as up"

"Past performance is not a guarantee of future returns"

But maybe that's just me being cautious. Why not email a few Porsche centres and ask them to send you over a list of their GT3 stock and what they are prepared to offer in order to tempt you. Don't forget to mention Carwow.

Would you want to pay in those Bitcoins you bought before Christmas?

Me too although I was way too young and poor to have afforded one back then. Would kill for a GT3 now in any flavour frown

err thanks, was just an innocent (perhaps naive) suggestion, I know its not guaranteed by any stretch, its was just an idea of how to own a car without loosing huge amounts in depreciation, maybe. Not as a get rich scheme, a considered gamble to own an enthusiasts car without ALL the downsides.
I understand the hostility to pure speculation, that was not / is not my aim.

One thing I dont get is why Porsche AUC GT3RS's are being sold at £220k but new they are considerably less. Why not just increase the new price aswell?
