Had a blood test on Thurs, pressure was fine and they told me it would be about a week before I got the results. I've also been feeling very tired just lately, really couldn't get out of bed in the morning despite getting 7hrs of quality sleep.
Anyhow, surprisingly the phone rings this morning (Friday) and the Doc wants me in on Monday to discuss results eek

I'll be ok, but as a typical bloke it sets the mind off wandering.....
The only dependent I have is the OH so i'd leave her plenty and blow the rest, but on what? biggrin

I don't think I'd do anything different from now.
I'm married to a wonderful woman, I retired early last year, I have all the toys so want.

I'd just keep living, seeing my friends, keep cycling, keep driving my car, and just make sure my finances were in order for when I'm gone.

May be boring but I'd rather spend my last 6 months with my wife and dog than traipse round the world or blow it on unnecessary purchases

I have a blood test later this month and a also an ultrasound check on my aorta, so this may be a decision to be made.

Always wanted to go round Donnington and Mallory on a motorcycle, been round many times in cars but never got chance to do it on a bike.

Would also like to see my ex wife again, if I could only turn the clock back.

What would you tell her, apart from goodbye?

Go explore the world on the motorbike with my wife for 4 months and then spend 2 months home with family and friends before snuffing it

I expect he'd like to do rather more than that wink

As for the original question, honestly, I have no idea. Never thought about it. Not something I really want to think about until the time comes.

Spend my time travelling the world and running up unsecured debt that I wouldn’t have to pay hehe

Problem with being told you have months to live is that the projections are often wrong. There is a hilarious simpsons episode where Homer is told he is going to die so he does everything he ever wanted including telling everyone he hates that they are utter wkers and then sits down to die and is mortified when he wakes up the next morning 😂

Some kind of boat with a bit of luxury, drift off to some idyllic locations every few days, change of scenery to take your mind off things. Perhaps a power boat/cruiser-type thing if you need your bhp fix.

I seem to recall a guy suing a hospital because they told him he was going to die within six months (or whatever) and he didn't.

He wasn't suing because he didn't die obviously, he was suing because he organised his life on the basis of their advice that he had a maximum of six months to live and he was fked financially when he found himself still alive 12 months later.

Is this the fairytale 6 months to live when you have your health or the grim reality 6 months?

The truth is, any one of us could have 24 hours or less to live, only we just don't know it.

Live every day, treat every person, like it's your last day.

I wondered about that, but then wouldn't your next of kin get the debt?
