Yeah I saw that but unlike the MG warranty it doesn't cover an on going problem I'm having with the exhaust systems.

Unless you have a ZT, the MG warranty never covered the exhaust anyway after the first year IIRC.

Very much doubt you'll find a third part warranty company that covers exhausts/brakes/clutch etc on an MG...

about £250 at the time.

right, anyway, got the car back. they told me warranty was void but I could extend it by talking to one of the salesmen. Who just so happens to be on his jollies at the moment. Will not find out about extension of warranty untill 6th may. dam. but will mail you through here or your profile when it happens.

Cheers Gav

I've actually found out in recent days that the garage I bought my MG from have been doing warranty work as a good will gesture but have made me pay for my repairs. I've been had. So I’m going straight to the top on this one I've contacted the holding company and will be discussing this further with them.

Also I have found that some people have had ongoing problems with there cars and still had it done on warranty. So after being told the problem with my car was a known problem kind of annoyed me.

Gav,

Which is more than I can say for the garage I bought my ZT from.

The last news I received was the holding company is sending letters out to all owners to explain their plans for warranties.

5 Days after they were posted and NOTHING.

RAC offer gold warranty for ZTT+ CDTI for 2 years @ £474.76, payable monthly @ 0% apr. No 12 months option available, and cover inc breakdown cover.

Dealer from whom I bought car offers RAC Gold cover @ £180 + VAT, for 12 months, supposedly at cost price!Hmmmm!!!

Also, enquirey for 15000/oil service comes back at £140 or £150 inc VAT from Rover dealer. Yet idependent service co quotes a total of 0.97 hour labour time inc oils & filter = c£75 inc.

In my car's short life, it had steering column, CD changer, radio, xenon lights, exhaust replced under warrantey. Had to wait 8 weeks for exhaust to be replaced, and was left to run aroung for that time with something sounding like transit van. Xenon lights only replace when I drove back to dealer with them misted up after driving in rain, as they didn'y believe me. Stereo still not right!!!

Sad situation, car's value plummeted, dealers don't care!

I should count myself lucky then. I've had new cat put on recently and the tires are buggered due to the known tracking problem these cars seem to have yet no MG dealer has ever heard of it.

I'm wanting to sell my ZT now I'm fed up.

Yeah I'm in the same situation. I don't want to but when the gargae wont even back you up whats the point.

I thin 8.5 k for my ZT will do the trick. That under cutting all garaged by 1k.
