Hi. wavey

This is a cheeky request for some help to name a small batch gin distillery that I don't have a name for yet, if you have any suggestions, please let me know. I was thinking of calling it the North Essex Gin Distillery, but my wife thinks thats boring and that anyone living outside Essex would be unlightly to buy it. All the clever or amusing names seem to have been taken, but I thought I'd ask here just to make sure. biggrin If I should take a suggestion from here the 'winner' would get a free bottle of gin as a thank you. drink

How about Reputed Quart, its an old liquid measure and goes with your PH profile.

You could just name the distillery after the nearest (and poshest) market town, or the old county hundred name it resides in. Such as 'Thaxted Gin/distillery, Essex' or 'Lexden Gin/Distillery, Essex'.. Regional provenance can be a big marketing asset.

‘Hope I haven’t missed the bandwagon’

‘I can’t believe it’s not Bombay Saphire’

‘Mothers’ Ruin’

‘A New Gin Distillery’

‘All the clever and amusing names were gone’

‘My Mid Life Crisis’

‘Gushing Granny Gin’ <= think this was Mountain Dew

I would avoid mentioning Essex in the name of marketing as it doesn't exactly scream 'classy'.

Small Nips

Min gin

Short measures

It's not much, but it'd fill a dram

Be interesting to see how much longer the current white spirit boom has to run.

I came here to make my own witty contribution, but I’m going to have to high-five Smid Gin instead.

I don't think it'll end. Why does it have to? These are fantastic drinks.

OP - you're probably near me. I'd also avoid having Essex in the title. Some of the more quaint village names would work, perhaps going back in time - lots of olde worlde place names etc round here smile

(Or use something deliberately "off" - Rotten End Gin smile).
