A guy I know was in court for a motoring offence last week. He was found not guilty and I'm curious whether there's a record online anywhere of the court case as I'd be interested to see how he got away with it!

Are magistrates court hearings put online?

Not saying this is the case here, but a few years ago One of our drivers got done for speeding (I knew because as his line manger I get copied in on the notice(company van)) I knew that if convicted he would likely get a ban (totting up)

So court day comes and he says he got off. Turns out he had actually got a 4 week ban and was hoping that it wouldn't be picked up by the company.

How did you find out?

He told someone who told me. When I brought him in he denied it but when I started dialing DVLA number he told me what had actually happened.

Not sure if DVLA would have said anything to me though.
