Car for less than 2k to take to the 'ring

As title. One time trip to the Nurburgring, most likely to be sold once back.

So far i'm thinking a Seat Leon Cupra. Anyone have any better suggestions?

Keep the engine oil slightly high, get some proper pads and brake fluid, £20 camber bolts and some Federal RSRs.

Another +1 for the Clio... I took my 182 across last year, great fun! There's a few uphill bits that could use a bit more power but I doubt you'd get that in anything for £2k that would be anywhere near as good around the rest of the track.

Another +1 for a Clio as it would be great fun round the track. Maybe throw an e46 325ci into the mix too as they are cheap and decent fun

I took a 986 boxster a few years ago now (£2000 might get you a working example just) it struck the balance between comfort on the long drive there and back with fun when you got there.
