I'm starting to get a bit bored of my hand-me-down Vauxhall Corsa and am looking to upgrade to something with a bit more power.

My requirements are quite flexible so would be interested to see what you all come up with.

I have a budget of around £9k-£10k and want something that drives relatively well, can handle 10k miles a year, won't cost me a bomb on the insurance (unless it's really worth it), and is actually quite nice to be inside.

My current front-runner is the new shaped Vauhall Astra SRi with the 150PS engine, although to be fair, I haven't tested one yet (booked for this coming Friday)

If you've got the time on Friday pop into your local Kia dealer if they have a Kia C'eed/Pro C'eed GT/GT Tech in stock, they're a very good warm hatch.

They're also insurance friendly have 200bhp & come loaded with kit as well as having 2-3 years manufacturer's warranty left on them.
