Hi all

Started an online business a while back which has ended up in a very fortunate position where it's generating revenue without a penny being spent on advertising - unfortunately due to the fact I have another business, I don't have the time to achieve it's full potential and thus will be advertising it for sale.

Anyone have any experience in selling their ecom business, any pointers, people worth talking to?

Not worth getting someone in to run it for you before you consider selling?

Talks to Firm Gains. I know the guys who run this. They don't sell businesses and their service is free but they have a lot of contacts and experience in the market and know the best companies to help you.

May I ask what line of products you sell?
Appreciate if you do not want to reveal.

Clinton @ The Exit Firm is one of the UK's leading experts on small to medium sized business disposal.

There's heaps of useful information on his website:

Put a post on Pistonheads advertising the fact that you're looking to sell a business that is profitable egen without spending a penny on advettising.

What products are we talking? Tech, sports, pets etc?

I regularly browse flippa.com looking for small niche sites. Worth taking a look.

If it’s on Shopify then there is also Shopify Exhange market place.

Thank you to everyone for the responses.

In terms of the type of business - basically anonymous 'gifts'. Took off in America a while back however nothing of its sort in the UK at a reasonable price. We've since launched and done quite well from it.

I've had a look at Flippa but to be honest their TrustPilot reviews leave a lot to be desired!
