2500rpm, 3000rpm at most for first 1000 miles.
Then 5000rpm for the next 1000 miles. That's what I was told

No idea, but would expect the ecu to have a soft limiter & failsafe limiter.

It’s the down shifts you got to watch!

Even at operating temperature you can’t redline from the off as the engine needs to be run in. Have a proper chat with Dom when you collect the car and he’ll give some clear guidance. He’s built it so I’d be only ever going with his advice!

P.S. you’ll love it!

Thanks mate,
yes I'll speak to Dom about it too. It's run in now so very much looking forward to it

Not as high as the rev counter would have you believe. It's one of Dom's engines, listen to him.

Running in a rebuilt engine is more about putting load and coasting cycles for the first 100 miles.

It should never idle and run at the same speed..

If you went up and down hills then it would do the trick..

The first 60~100 miles are the most important.

^^What he said.

You know you've over-rev'd it when the pistons come through the bonnet!
