Hood costs?

I handed over my nice little hood for a new rear screen and it appears the fabric is rotten (original 1993 hood)as is tearing when being unstuck from the mountings

I was quoted £350 all in for him to replace the fabric/screen.

Seems reasonable?

well just re-trim the whole interior in red leather, then this hood would look

Or.... as the car is green. I could simply re-paint inside and out with smooth hamerite!!! problem solved!

soz.. misread... dassled by paying out more cash for Hamerite and a paintbrush.

Just been quoted £314 for hood and targa... sounding betterer.. from company that are selling the eBay one.

urmm... taking a risk as new fabric should be water repelant.. so the die may not take.. and could fad back to red over time... also doubt will still be £20 in 4 days time

Give Martrim in Middlewich a try (Cheshire). They did a great job restitching my window, I'd imagine they could make you a hood.

Yes, but they quoted about twice the price mentioned above for my wedge.

Is that for a complete hood (i.e. back window bit as well) and targa panel? Did they quote for fitting?

The £314 included hood, screen and material for the targa section.. ohh and P&P.. so all in.

I didn't ask for fitting costs as the company is miles away as I have already removed the hood ready for the work... and am sure I can manage a glue job and a splash of fabsil inside and out before I glue it back in.

Where did you get this quote? Best ive had so far was been over £500!
Im is the same postition and want to change the hood this summer. Any advice is greatly appreciated.
