Toying with the idea of a new push iron and was wondering if I could apply for the ride to work scheme?

The question is I’m a self employed IT contractor VAT registered limited company, is it possible and what would the benefits be?

You are NOT "self employed" - you are the director of your own limited company - which is legally very different to a simple "self employed sole trader".

On that basis, your company is your "employer" and therefore your company can avail of the "Bike to Work" provisions as an employer.
