I had previously read a review on another site from someone who had purchased one of these watches. The review was good, and I have managed to buy one at half price. Brand new, private sale. Has anyone owned one, and if so, what do you think ?

I managed to get this one for £75 (half price). Thinking about a cuff strap though

I think you have done really well there for £75, I like it! I would be interested in hearing from you how it feels in terms of quality when you get your hands on it.

It was a one off. An unwanted gift from someone on eBay. Normally about £150. Look around though, and you will get a better price

Well the watch arrived today, and it looks pretty damn good, although it has a black face rather than the blue advertised. I would have still bought it if it were black, so have decided to keep it, but I will indeed let the seller know. The manufacturers website also features the watch with a bund strap, and in my opinion it looks far better with one. I have therefore ordered a replacement strap. The quality appears to be very good, although the £75 I spent is probably reflects it's value better than the normal asking price of £149. That said, I am pretty tight

The one I bought is 44mm. My wrist is only just over 7' and it looks good, but we all have a different perception. If you go on their site https://avi-8.co.uk/ and click on the watch you like, the spec is listed. As a matter interest some of the the Hurricane's are 38mm

They have this model at £106.60 at the moment. Watch avenue are selling them at £140, , and their own website £149. You only have to look and handle one to see that it is quite a decent timepiece. Here is a short review https://slinkystudio.info/reviews/avi-8-lancaster-...

Clearance models I would think. Before buying mine I had done a fair bit of research and looking around. When I bought this one I almost bit his hand off. Anyway, although I haven't worn it as yet, I have had it on my desk all afternoon, and I am growing quite fond of it.

Might well be - they were selling yours last year. Can't remember the price. I'm sure it was £1 more expensive than what you paid for it, though.
