As there is little if any information on these sports car tyres available on the worldly wide webby thingy, I was wondering if anyone on here is or has used them on the road, any feedback on these compared to other high performance summer road tyres please, before I commit my hard earned to a set to replace the horrendous 255/30/19 Bridgestone Potenza RE050A's which have contributed to the cracking of my BMW E89 Z4

The PS91 is meant to be great according to a few sources, but it does come with less tread apparently.

I've the following combos on the same car however

-Kumho KH31 vs Goodyear NCT 5s vs Primacy 3s vs Michelin Pilot Sport Primacy £80 vs £125 vs £125
-P6000s vs Kumho KU31 SPTs - PS3s ??? vs £70 vs £100
-KU31 SPTs vs Landsails. £110 vs Came with the new wheels.

I'll be honest. The KU31s had the edge over the P6000s but the P6000s were 10 years old too and unevenly worn due to bad alignment. But in all honesty the Landsails seemed better than the KU31s! They weren't necessarily grippier but you knew more about what the car did. That car in question (A Saab 9-3) was worse to drive than my tatty W124 on Goodyears on the Kumhos.

It could be me but I've never got along with them. They're not exactly miles cheaper than the big boys either.

They don't seem to perform as well as Michelin PS4s, Goodyear F1A 3, Continental 5 or 6 on RWD cars.

On the other hand, they seem to be on par with the Goodyear on FWD cars.

I've got Kumho Ecsta LE Sport KU39 on my E39 530d Touring and have to say they have been fine, no sense of being in any way less able than the Michelin Primacy / Continental Sport etc that I have run before. Ad in the fact that they are miles cheaper, it's a no brainer!

Thx guys and thanks for the link on the z4 forum of which i am a member but hadnt seen the excellent post your link took me to. My z4 is only 258bhp and its my daily drive so i am never going anywhere near its limits of traction, so the KU39s, Uniroyal Rainsport 3s and Avon ZZ5s all seem like a good choice for what i am wanting. Can't wait to ditch the Bridgestone RFTs.
