Morning All,

I have just fitted a full set of shiny new wishbones on my Chim at the weekend and fitted the original Bilsteins back on - but they almost look too long as the lower front wishbones look at a funny angle to the point I could question if I have the wrong ones on.

This isnt a car I have taken apart but acquired as a "box of Bits". so google is my reference point. Ultimately I am looking to replace these with Protech's. Are these shorter in length than the Bilsteins or a similar length?

Should look like this below hanging, and note yellow damper body and red coil spring at front wink

The rear ones are the same colour but a different length, with yellow springs.

Check the part number stamped into the body of the shock. The fronts have a C in the part no ,the rears have a D. My old front ones were C0163. The later ones are C0422.

With my Gaz, the rears have a longer body, (more travel) and weaker springs.

325F/275R iirc.

Remember that when the weight of the car is on them, they wont be sitting at full length.
