So if you purchased this plus the Lark P1 GTR whats the chance of a discount on the pair?

Undoubtedly they would ask more for the pair together than separately.

Seriously!! Why would they do this and what would be the justification?

Because you could "always" buy an individual car, whereas there would be very few if any "sets" in existence. Obviously most people would be in the market for only one or the other, but some people would find the idea of a set appealing, and recognise that paying up for this pair might be literally the only opportunity ever to acquire a pair.
Think of it this way: if the individual cars were ever worth more when separated than they were as a set, you could always break up the set, but you could never start with two separate cars and with them make a set (without spoiling the provenance of the originals).

But the P1 is just a repainted GTR. It’s not a bona fide race car. It could of been painted with Peppa Pig down the side and still have as much relevance to it’s fake provenance.

To expect to pay more for a pair is just stupid.

Cars probably also have the same chassis number.
You can think it's "just stupid", but there are people who would prefer it, and the market comprises all sorts.

Andy's F1 GTR is chassis #13R, his P1GTR is chassis #44 - it would have satisfied my OCD if they were the same, but the Japanese owner of P1 GTR chassis #13 got his allocation in first. To keep the 2 cars together would be cool.
