A6C6 noisy parking brake

Parking brake on my 2004 A6 C6 has always been noisy - is this normal? You can hear the motors and a "squeak". One has just "stuck" but probably down to them needing some maintainence.

The 'zhooop' noise as they come on and off is normal; squeaking may be wear/damage or if you're lucky is just under-use and will clear.
