Collecting new car soon, anything I should know?

As the thread states I’m collecting a new 540c from Ascot in about 3 weeks time and was wondering if there is anything I should think of/ good to know. This is my first McLaren and just wanted to know if anyone has any advice in terms of things to check at handover? Anything happened to anyone that could have been avoided if only you’d known type of thing...

If you're expecting to turn up, be handed the keys and shake the salesman's hand and be out the door in less than half an hour you're going to be disappointed! most places treat it like a major event and I suppose to some it is. You may get a hard sell on extras like paint protection etc as well.

The paint protection would've been offered weeks before pick up, McLaren now offer a good value deal with Topaz.

Most important thing is enjoy every moment of it, not everyday you collect a new supercar.

My first McLaren so I’m happy to hang around there for a few hours, always fun things to look at. PPF already ordered so should all be sorted by then. McLaren don’t offer stealth finish on my wheel choice so it’s done at dealer level now and I’m getting the calipers painted as well. Hopefully collect in two weeks.
