Sudden acceleration RRS MY07

A friend of mine has a problem with his 2017MY RRS. When he started the car to drive away the car accelerated by itself. He got on the wrong side of the street avoiding to crash info another car, hits a fence of a primary school just a couple of minutes a school class walks by😱 anyone knows of this sudden accelerating problem?
