Japanese/Korean alternative to Skoda Superb?
Discussion
Nearly evening PH gents, ladies and others!
I own a 2011 1.8L TSi Skoda Superb hatchback. It's my first German brand car and it's mostly been great but the reliability - namely electronics has been a bit ropey. The oil consumption as well seems a bit bonkers.
Anyway I am looking for a replacement - ideally sub £6k. Any ideas? I am thinking Japanese or Korean brands may be best considering reliability.

Look up the threads that have people buying slightly older Lexus GS models - that where my money would be going

I'd have this over the Skoda:

If it has to be Japanese then it's the Accord:
Accord ES GT

or the Mazda6 2.5 Sport (which is a Mondeo underneath)

Thanks for the feedback all.
I probably should have added that I also need quite a lot of rear legroom space to accommodate two kids car seats as well as big boot for pushchairs and assorted paraphernalia. On that note I also need isofix points.
Also the Mrs dropped the bombshell last night that she wants 6+ seats now (FFS) - that leads me firmly into horrific MPV country I suspect. Or can you still get an estate with seven seats?
Options on the 6+ seat front I guess are Honda Odyssey, Honda FRV (although at over 7ft wide with mirrors I suspect that may be too wide to drive locally) or I guess a Ford (obviously not Japanese/Korean but apparently still reliable) people carrier.
I fear I am becoming an automotive goldilocks!

Japanese MPV would also include Mazda 5, Toyota Verso and also Mitsubishi Grandis, There are a couple of Korean MPV's but they are pretty terribleI probably should have added that I also need quite a lot of rear legroom space to accommodate two kids car seats as well as big boot for pushchairs and assorted paraphernalia.
