New 911 GTS being picked up next week and i have asked for them not to drill the front number plate plinth as i want a smaller stick on plate. The question is who can produce these and can they be done prior to owning the car as i believe they need the V5 as proof of ownership of the registration. I have already been allocated a reg. number, but unsure how to progress and would be a little nervous driving the vehicle without a front plate in situ.

Cheers in advance
Peter

I have the same issue with my GT3 Touring which I am about to pick up. I am going vinyl front plate and Rick at Highgate House is sorting this for me. His email is sales@highgatehouse.co.uk

My GT3 was supplied (at my request) by the dealer from new with a legal vinyl front plate with the dealer name and BS number. Looks much better without the plinth imo.

I think it may have been supplied to the dealer by Rick at Highgate House, everyone seem to speak very highly of him and his company.

I ordered normal plates off ebay without v5 / ID etc. You can get vinyl too!

Given me an idea for the 996 though maybe some holes to fill!

Another recommendation here for Rick. Top guy and top quality product. His stick on plate for my car even had the dealer name and postcode etc. as someone else has already mentioned.

Rick at Highgate House did mine and added the Porsche dealer details onto the vinyl plate.

You are supposed to have the post code on and the BS number but I can’t see you getting stopped without it

I was failed at local MOT station a few years back for not having these details. Had to stick the "proper" plates over the dodgy ones to pass. Not an issue for three years of course, but police may notice if stopped for another reason.

The postcode and the BS no are on the above plate, if you look closely enough.

How big of an issue is it in the UK to not fit the front plate?

What if the plate is placed on the dashboard?

Looks great Martin, love the detail. I think David has kept no plate on, not aware he’s had any problems. Are collecting Thursday?

+1 for Rick @ Highgate - great work on all the race decals I've had from him

I've got a stick on front plate - just the reg, nothing else, and not had an issue over the 3 years its been on (inc MOT!)

Rick will add if automatically and if you tell him your supplying dealer he will also add that if you want with the post code

Tuffer, does it follow the curves of the bumper ok i.e. no creasing and I assume it would seal the holes from the plinth?
