New red light cameras?
Discussion
There is a roundabout i use often, a big one at a motorway junction, that suffers with the modern prevalence of red light jumpers.
The problem with this (apart from the obvious) is that the traffic lights controlling the roundabout are rather well set up for the traffic that should get through, so the queuing space for the next red light isn't long enough for the RLJs too. Result, any RLJs cause a jam in itself by blocking a roundabout exit that should be clear.
This would be an ideal place for a red light cam as the roundabout would flow better but i haven't seen a new red light camera for years - have they fallen out of favour with the authorities?
