Hi all new to the forum.
Hope someone can help.
I was accepted on car finance for over £15,000 i went to local dealership and explained i had applied and been accepted on financce and I picked a car. Paid a deposit of £250 to take the xar off sale etc. In the meantime the finance company changed there mind and turned it down ???. So i explained this to the dealership who said he would see what happens next. I needed a car to take my son to great ormond street hospital, so borrowed some money off a friend and bought a much less expensive one. Two days later i received a call from the finance company saying they had made a mistake and i was accepted, I explained I no longer needed it as I now had a car. This morning I have received a xall from the dealership saying they want thier money. As he registered the car in my name. Someone please help is there anyway of getting around this like he registered it before receiving full payment (jumping the gun). He new it was dependent on finance.

If the OP had had his deposit refunded then I don't think he'd be on here asking for help.
Do you have a copy of the order form? Have you AND the dealer signed it? If it's not been signed by both parties then the order form is not enforceable.
What did you say to the dealer when you told him you could no longer get the finance? Did you tell him that you didn't want to proceed, or did you lead him to believe that you might still want the car?
The dealer is entitled to feel "messed about" if you weren't entirely clear about your intentions, but it's not acceptable to try and pressure you into proceeding by telling you that they have already registered it. If they registered it before receiving full payment then that is a result of their poor judgement.
Likely outcome: tell the dealer that you will not be paying for the goods and don't want the car. It might be more trouble that it's worth to try and recover your deposit, but it's more trouble than it's worth to them to "force" you to take delivery, especially if the order form is not enforceable.
Hope your lad is doing well at Gt Ormond Street.
