Hi, anyone got a picture of the correct fuel filter for a S2 2.9? Mine has been replaced by previous owner but unsure is correct one. I have heard they are under pressure and using cheap alternatives can be dangerous?

Thanks

Thanks! So I am guessing that given there is multiple options, then it can't be that dangerous to fit something different than original?

Not heard of one going up in flames yet!

Any reputable brand should be fine. Fuel pressure is 3 bar, yes it would squirt out a bit if you had a pin hole but in the world of pressure that's not really a lot.

Biggest problem most people have reported is getting the copper washers on the Banjo bolts to seal, often the old ones will seal better than the new ones that (may or may not) come with the new filter.

Any filter for fuel injection will be fine.

The warnings that you have heard is that if you fit a filter meant for a car with a carb, the filter casing may not be strong enough to cope with the pressure that the fuel injection system runs at.
