article on the burton mail ,its on many other sites too.

thoughts?

i find it hilarious that some articles out there now headline with 'nandos admits to using McCain chips'. how many people now are just going to go to their local supermarket and get mccain chips and piri piri piri seasoning and try it themselves?

Nothing too shocking on that list really.

And it’s not a surprise that the chips are supplied by one of the biggest frozen food brands in the country really. They’ll be a specific recipie for Nando’s rather than an off the shelf chip.

What a vast non-story, surely no-one imagines major fast food chains prepare their food from scratch in the back of the shop?

Slow news day?

It's pretty obvious when the McCain's name is all over the boxes - see it every time my local one has a delivery, or waste sat outside..

The boxes are branded as Mcains for Nando's or something like that.

I should have sold this hard hitting story when I saw Nandos staff member carrying a box to the kitchen.

McCains (seed) Potatoes is a subsidiary of "McCains".

Virtually all of seed potatoes sold in the UK are grown in Scotland so no surprise they are heavily involved.
