So I was out yesterday on the dual carriageway at a legal speed limit overtaking a van and a tree hugging middle aged hippie tax dodger on a bike starts cycling across the road slowly. Emergency braking was applied by the van and I, van locks up goes sideways, hippy in shock stops pedalling and parks himself in the outside lane, car behind me realises I am outbraking him swerves for the inside lane and I have to stop or hit the hippie barsteward. (He actually had a Benny teacosey wooly hat on)

I stopped 3 ft short of him, the van 25 ft past him sideways, the Audi just behind the van.

So moral of the story, tree huggers thinks 200mph supercars save lifes.

i have just thought of a ace new idea to reduce deaths on the road! all cars need to have 330mm (or bigger) AP racing breaks fitted and sticker tyres! i bet it would be more effective than the speed carmers!

Chris.

PS only kidding on this and hope i have not offended anyone. the only real way to reduce deaths is with better trainng!

You don't run anything over in an Ultima , you may "run something under" ... you are that close to the tarmac

That was kind of you. Had you decided to go a couple extra feet, he would have walked off with loaded trousers rather than just leaving that yellow puddle in the road.

Nice job, Gareth...
