Great as ever last night at the MEN Arena. Unfortunately there were loads of empty seats as some couldn't make it or didn't want to brave the icy cold !! And it was very cold !! 
Still had a great time, he played a variety of tracks from all albums old and new but as usual top quality. Incidentally,the support was The Strypes who were ok but everything they played seemed to be exactly the same tempo and beat so the first couple were good but then got a bit samey.
On a negative point,one thing that never changes is the price of merchandise
£30 T-shirt and £20 programme !! Hardly anybody buys them so why don't they make them more reasonably priced ? at say £15-£17 T-shirt and under a tenner programme and I'm sure they would sell loads.

On a side note I think some of his best music was made when he was in the Style Council, his days were numbered as far as I was concerned was when he started knocking about with Noel Gallagher.

I think there will always be bits of any artist's career which don't work for some especially when they try to experiment with different styles. For me The Jam was iconic, didn't like the style council too much (thought it was a weaker version of The Jam) and then the solo stuff some I liked some I didn't. Was due to go to the 02 tonight but as of a few hours ago, where i am in Somerset was still under a foot of snow. We canned it as couldn't get off the drive or out of the village. now gutted as it's starting to rain and melt it away. Just 12 hours difference would have done it..... Gutted, would have been the 10th time........
There was a lot of folks who couldn't make it on Thursday at Manchester leaving loads of seats empty. Feel sorry for those who bought tickets and couldn't get there. Manchester was pretty snow free although it was super cold ! Traveled from snowy Stoke with sleeping bags in the car and snow shovel etc expecting the worse and the roads (M6) was completely clear. 5:30pm was a bit late for a cancellation when the weather was actually forecast.
