Hi all

looking to trade Mrs Novaks 987 Boxster in for something a little newer, possibly brand new.

We had an bad customer experience at Porsche Cambridge which has put us off using the group. Could anyone recommend Towcester, Solihull, or Leicester? These appear to be our next closest.

Thanks,

Matt

I use Towcester (OPC Silverstone) they’re excellent, very good customer service across the board in sales and servicing. PM if you want the name of a sales person to talk to.

I live in the midlands and my last 2 porsches (i bought within a month of each other) were from Edinburgh & Bournemouth.
Edinburgh were good, Bournemouth were too apart from their aftersales albeit both are serviced at Solihul.

The only reason i havent purchased from solihul is they never had the spec of vehicle i was looking for but if i bought new i would seriously consider solihul as their servicing department is very good.

+1 for Silverstone. Quality service and support, approachable dog loving DP. Deals to be had. Bought my last Cayenne from them. Completely opposite to the service from the nearest OPC to me, living near Bournemouth. Well worth the drive each time.

Thanks for the replies all. Towcester is about an hour and a bit from me, so totally doable. Wish the weather was better, I’d go tomorrow!

Silverstone are my local OPC and are very good in my experience but on purchase price of vehicles they are part of the sytner group and were not as competitive as Nottingham who are Stratstone

I have used Cambridge for many years and always had very good sales service and after sales service. Many of the staff came from the Norwich branch when that was in Hall Road and Porsche moved out of Norwich.
I have just last week had my 991 serviced and received outstanding customer service.
Maybe give them a second chance.

Solihull are the best, I travel 100 miles to use them. Ask for Daniel Taylor if buying new

I have used Cambridge opc in 2015, 2016 and 2017 for servicing, mot and warranty renewals. I have been happy with service and prices. Maybe discuss your concerns with them. From my experience it would be worthwhile.

When did you have a bad experience with Cambridge? They have a new DP who moved over from Colchester a few months ago who was excellent at Colchester. That's another great OPC in my experience too.

Leicester are fantastic in my experience. Had four cars from them in recent years. Really cannot think of any negatives.

Just make sure you ask to deal with Tom and you'll have a great experience.

Another +1 for Solihull. Really friendly and professional and great to deal with imo. I dealt with Chris and he’s a great guy.

A -1 for Towcester from me. Service dept is great, sales are shocking imo. Was there before Xmas to talk about ordering a car and they still haven’t called me back as promised! Not the first time.

I've been a customer of East London and when I moved out, shifted to Cambridge versus Colchester as my initial experience with Colchester wasn't great. Subsequent dealings with Colchester have been fine.

There is variation within the group down to individuals.

+1 - "individuals" comment. FWIW have been a customer of Colchester for 20+ years, various 911's purchased but didn't seem that interested when I was looking at 991.2 GTS. However East London couldn't have been more helpful, car purchased, me happy!

I've been trying the new one (South London) in Sidcup which is same Group as Colchester and Cambridge, but it's been a frustrating experience with the sales bod there. You would think it would be easy to buy an expensive car wouldn't you!!
