Depending on how I feel and where they come in my workout but anywhere between 6-10 reps with a 20kg plate normally around 3 sets.

I just try to do 10 reps as heavy as I can go. Which is fairly heavy at the moment.

Just started mixing these into my routines.

5 sets of 5 on 45KGS which feels absolutely brutal for the first and last rep.

Todays dip set was +60kg on the belt for 18, couldn't bring my self to go heavier, as pecs and tris are feeling a bit rough. Normally I'd go up to around +80kg, try to hit 10.

They're probably my favourite push exercise.

60KGS for 18 reps?

Next level stuff that.

I reckon I can ramp up pretty quickly but not sure I can get there

I'm a big fan of weighted dips, so there a staple of my training- I think +60kg for 18, +80kg for 10, +105kg for 2 are my best efforts at around 105kg BW.

What kind of belt are you using ? Loading must be difficult.
Do you take the belt off between sets ?

Just a std dip belt with a chain, I only use the 20kg plates, so loading is a doddle- and yes, I take the belt off between sets.

I can't do weighted dips, not enough room between my legs to hang anything else.

One small caveat: loaded dips are often cited as the highest risk pushing exercise for shoulder health (worse than barbell bench press). I would start with low volume and never slacken form to get reps or weight.

That said, I used to do loads of weighted dips without any issue at all. 15 reps with +20kg was my best effort, I think. Quite a lot of people can dip more than they can bench press.

Missed this thread.

I tend to keep the weighted reps between 5-10 reps.

So anything up to c+55kg for me. No idea what my 1RM is but I'd hope it's north of +60kg.

I tend to do higher rep bodyweight stuff, so sets of 20+. Managed 150 in 4 sets just before Christmas there.

And yes, ORD, my form was on point!

Big fan of weighted dips.
