Hi

Just got a PS4 (slim) for my son.

He won't play it a lot so I'd like to get a few games that I/wecan play.

I'm not really a gamer so blowing £50 on the latest game won't happen but I see that you can get older games (second hand) cheap.

Any suggestions.. open to anything.

Thanks

The borderlands collection is one sale again, loads of fun in splitscreen and it's only about £10.

Playstation Network always has stuff on sale so it's worth checking out what's there to see if there's anything you fancy.

Rocket League is great, and usually cheap. Grand Theft Auto has been out for ages, so widely available used, but it’s still really good.

They are not free games every month

You are paying for the service and for the amazing ability to play online!

Nothing is free with Sony

Absolute Drift is simple and fun.

Have a look once you have a psn account setup. They used to do monthly free games, or did when i last looked late last year.

Get The Last Of Us for yourself. And Fallout 4.

How old is your son?

Great - thanks all

Ref type of games. I’m not sure as I have not really gamed (is that a word?) before but will give anything a go.

Son is 9 so under 12 age rated stuff really

My sons of a similar age play 90% FIFA, 10% Rocket League.

World of tanks. Free. Addictive.

Mafia 3. After playing the earlier games was surprised how good it was. Cheap.

GTA5. Epic still.

Far cry 4. Should be cheap now and worth a play.

Need for speed games usually drop value like a stone and are playable and fun.

Gran Turismo Sport. There is quite a bit of offline content in this now.

Horizon Zero Dawn - maybe slightly more for you at the moment but in my opinion it’s the best single player game on the PS4 in a long time. Plus giant mechanical dinosaurs!!

And later this month a game your son will probabaly love comes out in remastered form...

Burnout Paradise!

What’s more fun than a good looking racing game where you get more points the bigger the crash you cause cool

Turn the sound off on mafia 3 and let the kid just drive about my nephews (10 years old) spend ages just driving about.

Good call on burnout I didn't know it was coming out I'll add that to the shopping list.
