£22k Soft top and quick with just enough space for kids?
Discussion
Hi
Struggling, looking for a new car. max £22k needs to be quick and a little special. Really want a soft top, live on the south coast. needs to have space in the back for 2 isofix carseats.
so far the only thing I can think of is the m235i. can get a 2015 with less than 20k miles in budget.
can anyone think of anything else before I pull the trigger?

How about a S5 cabriolet? https://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/...
Will you really have the space in a 2 series? I'd say look elsewhere:

Thanks. What’s wrong with pulling the trigger!
I thought of a 6 series. Not sure about investing in a diesel now though. Might get taxed to bits over the next few years.
Hate Audi with a passion. Dull. Had a terrible experience with an A6 we had.
Don’t want anything too old with massive bill potential. As much as I would love an M3.
435i a good shout. Not sure I like the profile of the folding hard top. Like a fabric roof.
The merc is nice.
Thanks for the tips.

640i is petrol, its either that, a Grancabrio if you double the budget maybe - I have had a E500 that was tiny as its based on a C class floor.Had a Mustang last year that the kids coudnt get comfy in, I didnt like the cheapness inside - this 640 with 2 years warranty should tick a lot of boxes.

1. I agree, nothing wrong with pulling the trigger, better than fisting some fruit I thought of a 6 series. Not sure about investing in a diesel now though. Might get taxed to bits over the next few years.

2. Just because the A6 was dull does mean all Audi’s the same. The S5 would top my list
3. No car tax is retrospective! It’s always new cars onwards. As long as Euro 6 should be fine. The only issue is down the line some city’s may ban older diesels.

640D would be my shout, they're a lovely motor.
Diesel a brave shout, surely a nice petrol the sensible option?Helicopter123 said:
