Until recently it seemed that everyone with a big label on their coat was shouting about JPN, now it seems like they're all off on an Artic expedition.

Big label = not the best stuff you can get for your money.

It’s not the new Superdry as it’s much more expensive and regardless of it being a bit overdone now, the jackets are still lovely items of clothing.

Not sure what price has to do with anything - that's just a figure that the brand calculates it can get away with.

The point is, it's got a massive shouty label, and EVERYONE seems to be wearing it.

It's cringey to see all the 35 to 55 yearolds in their Superdry uniforms and trying to look cool and hip.

The very same people spending 7/8/900 quid on coats like these are the ones who will piss and moan that they cant get on the property ladder.

No doubt very nice coats but an absurd amount to spend on one.

Is it just me, or does anyone else enjoy the irony of seeing someone soaked whilst wearing “superdry” ? hehe

Have to agree; my now near 60 yo colleaged was bought a Superdry jacket (the one with all the zips), by his kids a couple of years ago for his birthday; he thought he was pretty cool; he wasn't!

Wrong kind of goose. biggrin

I've only heard of the brand because of a protest outside of one of their stores regarding animal cruelty.. I guess it's true want they say; any publicity is good publicity. hehe

I bought one last year from a mates 2nd hand closing store. Cost me £300 and was like brand new. The problem with them is they are incredibly warm so can only be worn on the coldest of days. Ive worn it maybe only half dozen times. But on the days you wear it you really appreciate it. Im not saying they are worth the money as I don't think they are, even my 2nd hand price of £300 is a bit excessive. But it is a lovely coat.

Not sure how ethical they are. Ive heard of claims the way the goose down is collected isn't particularly good, and theres mention of the hood fur being real fur.

I got a goose down coat from Costco for £35.00 it’s warm as toast and waterproof.
Don’t see the point in spending another £700.00 on a label.

I've only heard of it as one of my daughters is a teacher at a school in roughish area and the older kids all wear them.

Yep. She moved there from a school in a well-off area and the kids there all wore cheap stuff and thought 'designer' labels were hilarious. Drives her mad how insecure the council kids are.

Because the higher price means everyone isn't wearing it. Canada Goose is nowhere near as popular now as Superdry was at its absolute peak.
