Had an issue with my Mazda2 brakes squeaking when the brakes were applied and the brakes were cold.

Annoyed me so much I've had the brake pads and discs replaced but now they squeal as soon as the car starts moving, up to around 20mph when the noise disappears. A complete stop also stops the noise. The noise also doesn't occur when the car is in reverse.

I had to do a couple of emergency stops today which felt a bit odd but I'm guessing this is down to the brakes being new. They've only had about 20 miles since getting changed.

Is there anything I can do to resolve this or is it back to Mazda?

Are the pads the same brand and type you used previously? Some types are more prone to squealing.

If you haven't cleaned the calipers recently, I suggest you do that.

You can get anti-squeal shims or goop that fit between the pad and the piston to damp out the resonance that causes brake squeal - you might find that helps.

It was done via Mazda, so I assume they're the same Mazda pads/discs, that were used before. It's only ever been serviced/repaired by Mazda to my knowledge.
