Hi all,

Is this a common problem? The parking sensors don't work when reversing... BMW charges 1100 euros

has anyone an idea?

1100 Euros for what? It’s a simple setup and normally easy to diagnose

Yes, it is a common problem - the parking sensor ECU is located in a way that it can end up in a pool of water.

Ahh it's the Ecu that got too much water? Is it something I can fix on my own?

It depends on how bad it is, I took the ECU out of mine, opened it up and components on the board had corroded through. I have been meaning to get a replacement ECU - I say some listed on eBay as tested working for £60, but have got used to not having the sensors anyway.

My 57 plate 123d had PDC front and rear, but I never had a problem with it - mind you I sold it in 2014.

I was more worried about the N47 cam-chain issues!
