Hello ladies and gentlemen

Please could I have some advice or help ?

I had a bit of an accident in the car park on Wed night... I fell & have smashed my wrist to smithereens aka Comminuted intra articular fracture to Right distal radius, which will need an operation to put all back together.

I had just finished cleaning the car of snow, put my hands in my pockets to dry them off , and the next thing I knew I was on the floor hearding a crunch and in agony.

The operation is tomorrow, and I'm feeling a little nervous as I have no idea what to expect. It's going to be done under general ( i've had one before), and they are going to need to pin it to put it back together.

Has anyone done something similar ?

Many thanks

I'm home and the operation was a success, although I was a bit of a baby and cried when they put the cannula in 😂

They put me all back up together, and held me together with two pins

I'll be home in plaster for at least 5 weeks

I'd recommend finding a specialist hands physio for your rehab. It might go smoothly with a general physio, but hands/wrists are tricky things sometimes.
