Quick Q for those that have converted to LS engines...

Did you engineer a mount for the GM DBW pedal to hang from, or did you pull it apart and engineer the DBW sensor to work in conjunction with the standard TVR gas pedal?

Any pics of converted footwells would be appreciated.

Thanks.

We have converted to Chevy LS DBW throttle body on a Rover V8 in a TVR Chimaera. We mounted a GM throttle pedal in the footwell. Will take a photo of the pedal when I get a spare moment in the workshop :-)

Topcats done my excellent Ls conversion and they used the original pedal box as shown.

Hope this helps.

One other Q if I may - are TVR diffs and half-shafts (in my case early-Tuscan) up to the job of handling the increased torque of the LS, or have folks made changes in either of these area to suit?

Suggest you give Warren a call at Topcats he is very helpful and not many people know more than him when it comes to the Ls conversions.

Depends on what LS your going for, standard LS3 I would say yes to diff and drive shafts.

I went with standard diff (different ratios) and up rated GKN motorsport drive shafts, have had no problems with 600bhp/650lbs/ft.

Saying that I did have problems with CV joints, brand new set of 4 CV joints all failed, have now been replaced with GKN motor sport items.
