Hi guys,

Recently picked up a lovely m235i from a BMW Dealership and it has the original Pilot Supers Sports on, the cars done 22k miles.

I have a warranty repair at another dealership and they said the inner and outer edge of the tyres is down to 3mm but the middle 5mm remaining pretty much all around.

Is this common? I'm used to a car with poor tracking running one edge of the tyre but not inner and outer but the centre having more thread?

Anyone else come across this?

Thanks

It’s normal front tyre wear on a rwd BMW. Abnormal on the rear, they normally wear the centre more. Maybe all the tyres were often under inflated.

Ive just replaced my MPSS on the rear of my F10 M5 as they were at the treadblocks on the outer and middle sections.

The inner edge was slightly more worn..

It's been KDS aligned/checked and the settings were bang on factory so I'm guessing it's a BMW thing

Normal for BMW rwd - have three and all wear the same. Local tyre fitter and BMW master tech confirmed. It is something to do with suspension geometry changes to toe-in under braking and acceleration
