Talk to me about body fat scales.
Which are any good? Are some more accurate than others?
I think as they rely mostly on capacitance they are very susceptible to differences in hydration, as long as you are consistent as to when you measure they can be useful to track yourself. However as an absolute measurement I am under the impression that they are nearly useless and you would need either caliper or DEXA measurements.
Which are any good? Are some more accurate than others?Depends on what you want to use it for, I used one at the gym where I go and it would vary by a few % every week, but if you are just wanting to show gradual loss over months its probably an okay measure.
I prefer just to look at myself in the mirror every now and again to see if I am happy with how things are progressing,
