There's some great old footage of Heathrow (and lots of other airports) on you tube.
Who needs TV.
This is one of my favourites - TV (i.e. video rather than film) footage taken at Heathrow by Thames TV back in 1970. Because it's video rather than film, it has a more "immediate" and live feel to it. And it's in colour.

It's the colour footage that I really like because it really brings the era to life.
